ಉದ್ದೇಶ : ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನ ಆಂಗ್ಲಭಾಷೆಯ ದಿನಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಕಠಿಣ ಪದಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವಿವರಣೆ ನೀಡುವುದು. ( ಕನ್ನಡ & ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಭಾಷೆಗಳೆರಡರಲ್ಲೂ .. !! ) "ಈ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಯಾಕೆ ಬಂತು ?" ನೀವು ಕೇಳಬಹುದು. ನಿಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಭಾಷಾ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ. ಸದರಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಂಗ್ಲಶಬ್ದಸಂಪತ್ತು ಬಹುಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂಥ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿರುವ ಪದಕೋಶವೇ ಹೊರತು ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಜಿನ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಪದಕೋಶವಲ್ಲ. ಮೇಜಿನ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಪದಕೋಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷ ಪದಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರೇನು ಬಂತು ?  ನಮ್ಮ ಪದಸಂಪತ್ತು ಬಡವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಮಗಿರುವ ಒಂದೇ ದಾರಿಯೆಂದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪದಗಳನ್ನ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಿದುಳಿನ ಪದಕೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುವುದು. ಈ ಥರ ಪದ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೆ ಇರುವ ಹಲವು ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹುಡುಕಿರುವ ದಾರಿಯೂ ಒಂದು.

ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿ : ನಾನು ಓದುವ The Hindu ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುವ, ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರದ ಪದಗಳ ಅರ್ಥ ಹುಡುಕಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೀನಿ. ನೀವು ಓದಿದ ಇನ್ನುಳಿದ / ಅಥವಾ ಇದೇ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬೀಳದ ಪದಗಳ ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನ ಹುಡಕಿ ಪದ + ಅರ್ಥ = ( ಪದಾರ್ಥ !! ) ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು ( Comment ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ). ಆ ದಿನದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಕಂಡ  ಕಠಿಣ ಪದಗಳನ್ನ (ಅರ್ಥ ಸಮೇತ) ನಾನು ಆ ದಿನ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಬರೆದರೆ, ಮರುದಿನ ನೀವು ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿ ಮಾಡಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡ ಪದಗಳನ್ನ ಅರ್ಥ ಸಮೇತ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು.
